Here at PRCG Horsemanship, you do not need your own horse to learn how to ride. We have horses that love to give lessons and are perfect for all learning abilities, styles and stages. Although horses can be horses, we work hard to provide well adjusted and trained horses for all of our lessons.
Crown is a 2008 grade quarter horse. He stands at 14.3 hands tall and has a very fun, infectious personality. Everyone loves Crown. His favorite job in the whole world is to stand still and let kids climb all over him. He will not move a muscle. He is also very good with beginners and has taught many kids to ride.
Zippy is a 2003 registered American Quarter Horse. He stands at 15.3 hands tall and loves to run barrels and poles. He also loves to work cattle and rope on the dummy. He does well with beginners but enjoys running with the more advanced rider. He has a fun, loving personality and is always willing to work.
Bryan is a 2003 registered Quarter Horse. He is our champion breakaway and heeling horse. He also switches ends and heads when needed. Bryan helps with lessons in roping, box work, tracking cattle, and stopping. You can find Bryan at live ropings and rodeos almost every weekend. He loves his job and will sprint to get into a roping box.
Alamo is a mid 20s year old grade quarter horse. He is a rodeo horse through and through. He spent many years bulldogging and tie down roping. He gives his heart to his rider everytime. He is a go-to horse and loves to give lessons. He is one of the lesson masters and is looking forward to retiring from rodeo and doing lessons in his retirement. Alamo is always willing to do the job and is the first horse grabbed to get work done.
Solstice is a 2014 grade pinto quarter horse. He stands at about 14.3 hands tall. He is our trained tie-down and break-away horse. He loves to track cattle, go on trails, and rope. He spends his time at live ropings and rodeos.
Meet Journey, a 2020 bay roan grade gelding who has been learning the ropes and training to do lessons, goat tying and roping. He is all heart and loves to go. He was started here and has been doing amazing things.
Meet Calhan, our 18 year old Shetland Pony. He's been a wonderful addition to our program. He loves to help students learn how to be in charge and also gives pony rides to all the younger siblings. Calhan is defiantly a pony but has a big heart and gives it his all when he wants to . We love having Calhan as part of our heard.
Gone but not forgotten....
Corona was our lesson master. Corona has taught many kids to ride and loved his job. He was very forgiving and knew how to keep a beginner safe. He also loved to do trick and let kids hang off of him. He will be missed and never forgotten.
